I saw only 1 PFD on
The captions mention they all had life jackets; I'm guessing except for the fellow with the bright Type I, their pfds were either underneath their jackets or integrated into them.
skipper in the water for 10 minutes...
Yeah, I wonder what the full story was. I'm sure the confusion following the broach delayed the recovery procedure and they might not have been able to see him right away. Plus the need to switch out the spinnaker for a jib and make way upwind.
