Hi, I am relatively new to sailing also. What I have found work for me is a lot of reading on the subject and then applying what I have read to sailing. There are a lot of local yacht clubs that have sailing lessons for adults. I took my lessons at a small club in New Hampshire. Also on the website "" T
om Lochhaas teaches a 3 part sailing lesson that is full of information on all the basics of sailing. I found that a great way to get familiar with some of the concepts and terminology. The class is a nice way to spend a few hours learning during our long and cold winter.
Good Luck too you!
