Are you looking for a paid crew position or just to get some sailing experience in?

Are you willing to consider positions where you have to help defray the costs of the provisions, or not?

Are you looking for bluewater passage experience, or just to sail?

Answering these questions will make it much easier for you to decide what opportunites will make sense for you.

If you're just looking to get any sailing experience in, go to a local yatch club and join a boat as crew for their local round-the-buoys races. Most have a weekly series...although up in toronto, it is getting a bit late in the season.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
