Your first time thru Broad Creek, go with someone familiar with it. The charts show skinny water at the mouth on both sides but there is a narrow channel at both mouths. Once you get a little more familiar with the keys and get to know some locals they'll let you know where and how they have marked some cut thru's that don't show on charts but they maintain for themselves. This is particularly true in the back country going thru the flats on a boat build to run those skinny waters. "Flats" boats with big ass motors.
