Good point, I don't think of Parry Sound as we're in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and Midland is 2 hours, so don't think beyond that.

We're a solid day travel to get up to Parry Sound. Did Shawanaga to Midland and was 10 hours. +/-. Most of that was in the small craft route as the Bay was nasty.

Besides Hope Island, in our area, Shawanaga Island is one of our favorites. What is your typical weekend anchored out. Do you gat as far out as Franklin or stay mostly in the Sound.
