The rudder is a fairly big job but pretty basic work - you even have the opportunity to make a more modern shape. I'd go to the Maestro (Perry) and have him design one rather than just trying to recreate the original - rudders have changed as much or more than anything else about sailboats over the past 35 years.

As far as the keel goes;

I, myself, personally intend to continue being outspoken and opinionated, intolerant of all fanatics, fools and ignoramuses, deeply suspicious of all those who have "found the answer" and on my bad days, downright rude.
