My A35 had 1 1/2 X 1/4 chainplates. I moved the shroud plates outboard and beefed up to 2" because of the leakage which eventually gets into the deck core and down into the bulkheads from the thru-deck configuration. It may be worth a look-see (if you have not already done so) to determine if there is any leak damage to bulkheads or deck core rot. Replacing the bulkhead(s) is a big job.
