I am scheduled to go around Vancouver Island this summer and then do a delivery from Maui.
It's a big ocean Jack. Chances are, you won't see much, but hopefully you'll have a trustworthy crew that will keep a proper watch.
But it reminds me of an article I read recently about the occupants of the ISS that had to man the escape pods because of space litter.

There was a time, not too long ago that you only had to worry about hitting natural things in the ocean or space. Now we have to worry about hitting or being hit by our own debris.
It seems that man can affect his environment.
