Is there enough shaft under the seat to install a chain sprocket? Depending on auto, the bigger is better for ratio .Small pinion on auto(hopefuly with a dog clutch )connects it.All SS if it's near the compass.Really needs a disconnect unless you always steer by auto or have really strong arms When sailing Thane I lock the wheel by engaging mechanical auto cutch.
