I was also concerned about insurance. My homeowners policy covers boats, but the marina conglomerate wanted to be on the policy as an additional insured. Hartford said no.

Went to a friend who's an independent agent and got a policy from Progressive for $100 per year. Added comprehensive last year for an additional $70 per year.

BTW, my boat's 38 years old.
