Hopefully someone will have the answer, but I suggest going to look and trying one on for size.
O'Day is a good boat and a CC model will give you a pretty good size aft cabin.
What Catalina do you have now?
I'm 6'1" and wife is 5'7" and we never had problems with either the V-berth or quarter berth on our C-30 and our C-34 is even better with the 34 having a private aft cabin as opposed to an open quarter berth.
My suggestion, don't limit yourself to just one model, unless you've looked at many and decided the O'Day best fits your needs.
When my wife and I were looking, we looked at many models before deciding the C-34 was the best fit for our needs and budget.
