As with any older boat... smells indicative of wood rot, soft, spongy decks, moisture leaks (fittings, windows, stanchions, etc - look for tell tale streaks/black spots in wood finishes) Mildew on overheads and hull sides inside (ceiling) from excess moisture for whatever reason, and so on.
