I agree with Dave. Everyone, without exception, should have a CO detector on board, even if you don't have a gasoline engine yourself. Ever been tied up downwind of a guy who is running his genset? I have! I shouldn't think it would be fatal unless there are some freak weather conditions but waking up with the headache is no fun. That is what convinced me of my current position.
