I'm fairly mechanical, so I'm nbot concerned, but new to sailing. Can anyone give me some advice as to wher on the spreaders the lights should go, and should I run the Port lighht wire through the mast. I have Halyards going up ob both side of the mast.

Any suggestions or problems I may not be thing about would greatly help.

I'm thinking 1/2 way between the mast and the end of the spreader, but I really don't Know.

Thanks alot
About halfway out on the spreader sounds perfect.

I normally split the wire into a Y and leave the junction inside of the mast. Or rather push it back inside the mast. Then I run each leg out of the mast under the spreader and out to the light.

It's best to have the wire running up the mast inside of a conduit. Otherwise, the wires will probably make some noise slapping the inside of the spar. They also may eventually get chafed by the halyards.
