C37 Anchor Locker Partition

Our C37 came to us with a single anchor on 20' of chain and 250' of three-strand nylon. We'll soon be adding a second anchor with a similar rode.

Our anchor locker is divided into two compartments by a lower partition that ends about 18" from the underside of the deck. Problem is that the existing rode more than fills the starboard compartment, with the last 50 to 100 feet spilling over the partition to port. Since we don't want to skimp on rode length on either anchor, so we are looking for an simple way to keep the two rodes separate.

Seems like all would be well if the partition ran all the way up to the underside of the deck. Most appealing suggestion so far is to close the gap between partition and deck with a net or, better yet, with 1" webbing.

Would greatly appreciate any tips or ideas out there.
