Spade rudder is somewhat vulnerable, and some Hunters have had a rudder failure on passage. But you can slalom in reverse!

Not quite right all the true CC passage 42s had a backstay the coastal or lesser model hunter 42 CC did not.

There is a tread somewhere not long ago about the passage 42.
