Regarding repowering (who on earth would not
want a true sailing vessel... but ok, theoretically speaking...), I'll state here that if someone wants an inboard reinstalled, I'll do the install if you buy the motor and supplies and put her on the hard. The motor mounts are still tabbed to the hull, and I can knock out the rudder and a stern tube/shaft assembly in a weekend.
I'm coming down to hang with a few 50 something grade school friends on a 32' Endeavor sailboat that needs a bit of (ahem) engine work done. The winds will decide if we head up to Baltimore for the SN Chessy get-together or head elsewhere. I'd like to meet everyone down there but it is not my boat and I'm not the captain so I don't get to say where it goes. I guess that my shipmates this weekend are not plugged into Sailnet and have other lives that they happily lead. I try to do the same.
I could still meet up with you on Thursday night around dinner time or after if it could work out.
I'd still love to see your Heron in daylight and might be able to find some time this coming Friday AM. I'm not usually an early riser but shoot me a PM with your cell # and I'll call you before I appear.
