Why the attitude? Yes the OP requested a watch but then said he only wanted it to do one thing well, countdown. If he just wants a countdown function, others suggest a kitchen timer, which has nice big numbers, easy to use, inexpensive, and does what the OP wants. Yes it is not a watch, but it is another idea.
