Question Modifying Brent Swain 26

Brent,
I bought a 26 foot boat of your design, with bilge keels and sloop rig in 1995. I kept her painted and cared for and she seems in good shape. I wanted to request your opinion on a couple of changes made along the way . First I added column support under the mast step running from member on hull floor to steel ceiling under the mast step. Then raised the roof of the cabin flush with the top of the original vary unusual entry door. (A little more windage but sails pretty good)
I am now planning on putting a stainless 3 foot bowsprit on the boat, and cutter rigging her. Might any of these changes cause unexpected stress problems when sailing?
Cheers,
Phil
