Re: 1972 O'Day Mariner 19 (or old Rhodes 19)

Well. The Oday is completed to my satisfaction ordered whitecap bow and stern light, worked out the 3 toggle switch panel just needed some sanding out so the contacts were metal to metal, also have a cigarette lighter connection that clips to the bettery terminals to run a 12VDC ocillating fan, and used a 5 light LED stick on inside the center of the cabin overhead which can be directed to different locations or centered. I have an ice box, rigged a 2 gallon tank with new hose to a flipper faucett and found a stainless steel pan which fits the depression for the sink. Have a porta potty, New cabin doors, painted the small cabin floor, all cabin cushions in place, shelving on each side stows lights, tools, TP, fire extinguisher, horn, and a small battery operated Dory light. The center board is solid and working, sails in great shape with sail cover and bags, rigging and mast fine, hull is sound. Mounted a levoguage on the companionway and a small compass that lights up when a button is pushed. Have hand held VHF, can carry a radio/ipod, have anchor and chain road with 150' of 1/2" line. Except for perhaps paint and replacement of the wood where the motor mounts the boat is in outstanding shape for her age. Trailer in good shape, everything works, new wood runners painted with white enamel and covered in black indoor out door carpet, lights work, have two brand new spare tires, hubs greesed, springs with very little rust. Wonderful back up boat, great day sailor with a very large cockpit for her size, sleeps 4. 10" draft makes her an excellent gunk holer or bay sailor. My Morgan 24 can make the barrier islands, so my focus now turns to her. Dolphin is complete, Felicity comes next. Can also carry the spot light at night that plugs into the cigarette lighter, have type 1 throwable device, and life preservers, oars, and extendable gaff. Good to Go. Now I must work of having her formaly registered so she is completely legal again - so one more task. Oh, and I have a line rigged to fly the colors if desired.
