Yikes... looks like you've got yourself a bit of a project there.

I think you need to remove more interior insulation etc to get a real picture of what's going on there.. Hard to believe they are relying on simply a large, glassed-over backing plate. The cracks in the deck around the chain plate are not exactly encouraging either...
