i heard on Nantucket you cant anchor in the inner bay .

I believe there is a lockdown on the bridge for 30 minutes or so following a ferry arrival, for the car traffic to clear.

Nantucket harbor has plenty of anchoring area, only the distant eastern bays are restricted. You'll find good swing room because no one wants to anchor in Nantucket due to all the kelp. Be sure to use a plow and back real hard. several regards...
