sailing schooner exhibit in Poulsbo, WA

I visited the Poulsbo Historical Society museum last week and they have some great footage of the last sailing schooner used for cod fishing in the Bering Sea. The museum has a DVD of some 16mm footage shot by the captain during the last trip made, in 1950, and then an interview with the captain from the 1980s. There is also a model of the ship used in the film, a 3-masted schooner. The video part is raw footage and includes a lot of repeats, but it was all good stuff. The captain also published a book, Salt of the Sea: the Pacific Coast cod fishery and the last days of sail. The boat is now in California and in trust to the park service: http://www.nps.gov/safr/historycultu...dated_R2_h.pdf .
