Re: Too hot to sail...

We took our (new to us) Mac 26 out for the first time this past Saturday, on Lake Murray, SC. The day time temps were around 105, and mid 80's at night.
We motored for a few hours, then anchored and swam/relaxed for the rest of the day. The heat did get to us despite 12 quarts of gator-aid, and a few gallons of ice water.
The bimini was a life saver...and I like the tip above about the silver tarp (on to do list).
I did not raise the sails on purpose. Too many boats, too little experience, and I wanted the family happy
We were treated to two fire works shows, and had a great evening.
