Re: Cruising in a Hunter?

I've sailed thousands of miles in the Caribbean on my little ( beefed up and customized) 28 footer with no engine. But not up wind against the Trades, That hunter probably need's some beefing up to do it, Hollow rudder post, the refit would cost more money and time than just selling it and buying a boat over here, and jump starting the dream. it sounds like his offshore experience is nil. Those of us who do big passages on small boats usually know what we are doing before we attemp it. I'm all for him going for it.
