Re: Replacing Halyards, metal or rope?

Wire rope halyards are definitely old school, and there is no reason whatsoever to install them new. Modern rope technology is far superior in every way. Anybody who says otherwise is simply stuck in the past! I have wire halyards on my boat, and although I have no reason to replace then yet, I would not go wire again when the time comes!
