I installed the Forspar davits on mine last year. They are pretty good for the money, I paid $699 for the pair. The lifting tackle on them is
Harken but the sheaves at the end of the davit needs to be larger because of chaffing. I met the Forspar people at the Annapolis boat show and they sent me four larger versions at no charge. Sailing around the bay, I'm glad I have them.
I had a local metal worker (welder) make me up some stainless steel straps that goes from the top of the stern rail to the coaming behind the helmsman seat. This strap transfers the weight of the davits to the coaming so you don't pull too hard on the sternrail.
