Pardon my skepticism but this isn't new. Sailboats have been using electric propulsion, solar, composting toilets, etc. for some time now. And crossing oceans.
It appears to me that you are soliciting funds in order to equip your boat for free, or, with as little of your own money as possible. I don't see on your website that you are a non-profit so any contributions will not be deductible.
If I'm wrong, please feel free to reply.
