You will need to be knowledgable as much as experienced. As the professional, you would be asked about various products on the market, size chain required, shackles, pendants, how big a boat the mooring will hold, etc. You should also be familiar with how you get a new mooring approved, how many local codes allow and where, etc. Education is key to success.

Then you need all the things mentioned above.

If you know how to dive, you might consider hull cleaning, but learn to do that right too.

Final business advice for the day. Use your head, not your heart to make this decision. Once you're open for business, let your heart back in the equation and be the best on the Bay.
