Thanks for the follow-up... one comment... I'd probably make that loop a fair bit longer, so that adjustments can be made in fewer short pulls... you would still avoid loose ends. Perhaps down to the sole and back as a minimum, but ideally you should be able to adjust the traveller while sitting to windward.. ie tiller in one hand and sheet or traveller line in the other.
