Re: Marthas Vineyard, Greenport, Block Island, Port Jeff, Matiuk, Stonington, New Lo
On the way up the Delaware this AM running with the current motor sailing at 7.5. Important to make the nuke plant at Salem, NJ by 2as the tide switches about then and we'd be doing maybe 4 knots. Smooth seas this AM on Delaware bay noted for its square waves in 3second intervals. This due to the very shallow nature and long fetch. The remnants of TS Issac are closing in so depending on the timing through the C&D Canal will depend where we anchor or even head the final 6 hours for home port. Maybe more prudent to arrive after dark at 10 then fight heavy rain tomorrow.
