The attached picture is how I prepared Nellie Belle for Isaac recently. Removed furled front sail, removed boom and mainsail, removed most of the canvas covers, lowered and tied bimini up, installed LONG ropes for rising water and pulled the boat away from the dock. She rocked and rolled when Isaac came through Slidell, Louisiana, but rode out the storm with no issues. I saw more of the bottom than I wanted to on some of those rolls, but there was no damage. Next time I will use double ropes in case one lets go. For three days the wind pounded us and some of the ropes got chaffed pretty badly.

The two pictures show before the storm and just after the storm before the water went back down.
