Thank you all for the kind words and support.
To answer some questions: Yes, it was Mt Sinai. The boat was first seen anchored over the west jetty, later persued to the sand spit parking off Crystal Brook Hollow Rd. It was stolen from a beach where dinghies are stored, but was only tied there as I had to install a new post. I thought no one would steal an old wooden dinghy!
As for hitting the guy, I know well enough that the first rule of disputes is to obey the law. Beating the guy would have been a crime and put me in legal jeopardy.
He paid by mailing a check, (I already have it) we exchanged information. I wished him well and still do, I hope he takes a lesson from this. I consider the boat sold and the matter concluded.
