Re: Sailing on Hudson river

The wind was definitely blowing yesterday when I was out at Centre Island beach, near Oyster Bay/Bayville. I saw several waterfront center (WFC) boats out on Oyster Bay. We went swimming in the Sound though.
I was wondering if the WFC had the facilities to keep your own Sunfish there?
I agree that owning your own boat is a good idea. A Sunfish is not going to set you back a lot of ca$h unless you get a brand new one.
I think that Norwalk, CT should definitely be looked at. I don't know what kind of facilities they have inside the harbor for keeping a boat like a Sunfish though.
Some communities have boat racks at their beaches but it usually helps to be a 'resident'.
Do you have a vehicle you could use to move a Sunfish?
