Is it just me or is it customary to control the jibe of the main more... always thought allowing it to drop across like that was generally bad for equipment.... When it's heavier I sheet in, slow turn, and release... I call it a chicken jibe. In light air, I grab the boom and tackle, and pull it past centerline, then release, obviously the winds in this are way to heavy for that.
