I'm not sure I agree that methadone being legal (with a prescription, I presume) makes it a foregone conclusion that the kids must stay with their mother. Addiction is addiction and unhealthy is unhealthy.

Also, any boat you buy now is likely to add to your problems and will likely solve nothing. A boat will reduce your options while adding to your responsibilities.
