Hi Folks,
I am looking for some advice as to how to mount a chart plotter on a Pearson 27.
I've recently purchased both the boat and a new Standard Horizon 190i chart plotter.
I would like to mount it on the
Edson pedestal behind the
compass and wheel but the problem is that I don't have a pedestal guard. I've looked at installing a pedestal guard but that will run more then the cost of the chart plotter itself.
Does anyone have any experience with mounting electronics directly to the pedestal? Any mounting hardware suggestions or websites? Is it a bad idea?
