I don't know who the target market is for this boat but it sure is not the over 50 baby boomers. After 50, creature comforts take a higher priority and like the article says it is very spartan and for $131,000.00 with standard equipment (checked the official Columbia website for confirmation) one can get a Beneteau First 36.7 Cruiser/Racer with much better creature comforts. It makes a nice sport boat and it would really get my enthusiasm if the interior was larger with more creature comforts, besides who needs a 12' cockpit anyway. This one has potential but needs to return to the drawing board if they want to appeal to a broader market share. There are many who would desire a trailerable sport boat like this but cruising comfort cannot take such a back seat to performance. Shorten the cockpit and increase the interior volume while adding more creature comforts and they will have a winner.
