Rock Hall gouge?

I'm sure many here are familiar with the word "gouge." For those who aren't, it's a Navy term meaning "information." Helpful, insider-type information.

We keep our boat across the bay from Rock Hall, in Rock Creek. We're interested in doing a weekend trip to Rock Hall (me, the wife, and our two boys, 8 and 10.) Can anyone here give us the gouge on where to tie up, where to go, etc? We don't have a dinghy so we'd need to either tie up or have access to a water taxi. A temporary dock followed by sleeping at anchor would also be an option. Shower facilities would be nice but certainly not required. The focus would be dining and sight seeing.

Thanks!
