It is an advantage to have the capabilty to have the lines seperated when lifting or lowering so you can put a slight angle to let any excess water go out the drain hole before placeing the plug in. The main thing here is the proper purchase. Ours is 6:1 so lifting 140 lbs is fairly easy.
