"carburetor, alternator, housing" yes, but it was assumed that anyone stripping their engine to
paint would remove these things. Reminds me of an old car I inspected a while ago. Ad said "fresh engine
paint." The wires were painted, air cleaner.....guy took a can of spray
paint and "painted the engine."....back to the post; aluminum likes etching primer as well.
