I just had a thought. Before we give too much credit to the integrity of how humans used to communicate, we may have previously held our tongues in person. However, the moment someone walked away from the table, their critic could quickly unload on them behind their back. You just get to hear it yourself now. Not so sure this isn't an improvement after all.
