Thar's the same designer.

I understand why he was the inverted curve of the hull, I mean from the outside on the top what I don't understand, on a fast boat, is the sharp transition from the bottom to the side of the hull.

Take a look at the A27 that has a similar concept but a rounded transition. It seems to me that have the boat sailing over a chine (I mean an almost 90š angle) is not a good idea in what regards drag and that is what happen when the boat sails upwind, close to the wind.
