I advise against using household extension cords for anything other than something very temporary. For starters, the cord itself probably isn't rated for it, but you can get an expensive 10g cord.

The best solution is to wire more outlets in your boat, but as others have mentioned, that doesn't just give you more capacity. It just gives you more protection, but going through a smaller breaker in the panel.

Do this right! Electrical fires are the number one cause of boat fires.
