Agree. And with all the electronic
charts, navigation,
gps trackers, sat phones and e-mail, weather routing, weather forcasting, power
winches, rolling
furler and reefing mains on boats now, it is easy for a non experienced sailor (with a lot of money) to purchase a large well equiped boat and go out and get themselves into real trouble.
