Yeah, was a beautiful weekend on the Bay, not too cold. Judging from the white caps just outside the channel on the way to Solomon's Island true wind didn't get much above 15-18 kts with an occqasional gust in the 20s. Apparent wind -- we were registering 25 kts making 9-10 kts on a beam reach. The chop was really nasty running about 4 ft on Sunday. I know 4 ft chop doesn't sound like much but in the bay the fetch is really short and you really get thrown around.
BTW. The Maryland Rockfish tournament was this past weekend and just watching those guys rocking and rolling in the chop trolling at 3 kts almost made me seasick. That's real dedication. Wouldn't have minded some fresh Rock to take homw -- nothing better
