Nice rudder.
I wouldn't worry about the buoyancy. It's super annoying on a kickup rudder, but if you're not taking yours on and off all the time it's probably fine. I refaired mine last year and I keep saying that I'm going to rig a downhaul on it to help keep it down while I'm tightening the bolt that keeps it down, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
