LOOK up lin and larry pardey and order there books or dvds! They have been sailing the world for 30+ yrs and dont even hv a mtr!
Good advice. However, there are a lot of folks on this forum who have sailed in pretty snotty conditions (not me!), who have differing opinions on storm management. Seems like a difficult thing to sort out b/c you can't really experiment with it unless you are in really tough conditions. Most people would to choose to (or even have the opportunity to) go out in those kind of conditions.

Still, heaving-to seems to be an important skill to work on in as many conditions as possible.
