Re: Dinghy davit help

Thanks to all for your inputs, I really appreciate it. My boat has been in "restoration' status for the last few years with standing/running rigging, paint, port lights, repower, canvas, sails, interior, etc. Finally able to enjoy her a little more. The dinghy, as you all know, makes the exploration aspect of the jouney much more fun. I have a split mizzen aft stay connected through a 2:1 block to the top of each davit so weight of the dinghy will be countered a bit. Bought the davits second hand and never had a chance to research the lifting system until now. Your help has been awesome. I think I will go with the 6:1 purchase blocks for ease of operation. I have realized over the last few years that I don't quite have the orangutan strength my wife says I once had!!!
