Homemade Tiller

Here's a pic of the tiller I made. Quite easy actually. Just bond layers of oak & cherry alternately then shape with a bandsaw, and / or rasp file till you get the shape you want then sand & varnish it. Comes out ok with little effort.
In this picture you can also see the lower part of the vertical aft mast support. The wedge shaped block that attaches to the table support ring is a mod to the mod (do I need a new thread for this? LOL) needed due to the aft traveller being more forward & interfering with the original placement of the support.
Also you may or may not notice the white plunger in a grey holder on the bottom left. This is the button for the hose primer for engine priming. I didn't want the fuel hose showing in the cockpit so I made a fiberglass mold of the bulb and mounted it inside the transom with this plunger squeezing it.
